Design of an Interactive Spatial Augmented Reality System for Stage Performance Based on UWB Positioning and Wireless Triggering Technology

    No full text
In this research, the authors designed an interactive spatial augmented reality system for stage performance based on the technologies of UWB positioning and Bluetooth® triggering. The position of the actor is obtained through the antenna tag carried by the actor and the signal base station placed on the stage. Special effects can be triggered through the Bluetooth® module according to the actor, and rendered at the relevant location on the screen, which has higher concealment. The system has a higher degree of freedom in practical applications, which can present an interactive spatial augmented reality effect, and therefore provide new possibilities for the application of spatial augmented reality in the stage performance

The Impairing Effect of Mental Fatigue on Visual Sustained Attention under Monotonous Multi-Object Visual Attention Task in Long Durations: An Event-Related Potential Based Study.

The impairing effects of mental fatigue on visual sustained attention were assessed by event-related potentials (ERPs). Subjects performed a dual visual task, which includes a continuous tracking task (primary task) and a random signal detection task (secondary task), for 63 minutes nonstop in order to elicit ERPs. In this period, the data such as subjective levels of mental fatigue, behavioral performance measures, and electroencephalograms were recorded for each subject. Comparing data from the first interval (0-25 min) to that of the second, the following phenomena were observed: the subjective fatigue ratings increased with time, which indicates that performing the tasks leads to increase in mental fatigue levels; reaction times prolonged and accuracy rates decreased in the second interval, which indicates that subjects' sustained attention decreased.; In the ERP data, the P3 amplitudes elicited by the random signals decreased, while the P3 latencies increased in the second interval. These results suggest that mental fatigue can modulate the higher-level cognitive processes, in terms of less attentional resources allocated to the random stimuli, which leads to decreased speed in information evaluating and decision making against the stimuli. These findings provide new insights into the question that how mental fatigue affects visual sustained attention and, therefore, can help to design countermeasures to prevent accidents caused by low visual sustained attention

Influence factors analysis of ionized field characteristics of Zhangbei ±500kV flexible direct current transmission lines

The ionized field should be controlled in order to insure the environmental friendliness of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines. Different with traditional HVDC transmission lines, the metal return lines is first employed in Zhangbei ±500kV flexible HVDC lines. In this paper, the characteristics of ionized field with and without metal return lines are calculated on the basis of numerical method with Deutsch’s assumption. The influence factors, i.e. roughness coefficient, distance between metal return line and height of the metal return line, are analysed in detail. The results show that the metal return lines will have a shield effect on the ionized field on the ground. The distribution of ionized field is nearly independent on the height of metal return line. The shielding effect of the metal return line mainly contributes to the projection position of the metal return line. The presented results can give instructions for the design and control of the ionized field level of flexible HVDC lines with metal return lines
